How Waze’s camera alerts work
According to Waze’s help centre, cameras are added by Waze partners and community map editors — drivers cannot report them — and “if a camera wasn’t reported by an editor or partner, Waze may not know about it”. Waze speaks a camera alert when you are over the limit; if you are at or under it, the alert only appears on the map.
